Becoming a Brother
Membership in Rabboni Lodge begins with a conversation, not an application.
If you are reading this page, you are already asking the right questions. Freemasonry is not for every man, and we do not pretend otherwise. But for the right man, it is one of the most meaningful commitments he will ever make.
At Rabboni Lodge, we take the process of welcoming new members seriously. We are not looking to grow for the sake of growing. We are looking for men of good character who will contribute to this brotherhood and carry its values forward.
Is Freemasonry right for you?
Freemasonry is open to any man 18 years of age or older who believes in a Supreme Being, regardless of his religion, background, profession, or walk of life. What matters is character.
Men join Freemasonry for many reasons. Some are drawn to the history and tradition. Some are looking for genuine brotherhood with men who share their values. Some are motivated by the opportunity for personal growth and self-improvement. Some follow in the footsteps of a father, grandfather, or friend.
Whatever brings you here, the question worth sitting with is this: are you looking for something more than what everyday life typically offers? A place to slow down, reflect, and invest in becoming a better man?
If the answer is yes, we encourage you to reach out.
How it works
A conversation
You will meet with our Lodge Ambassador, a brother whose role is to get to know you and help you understand what Freemasonry is and what Rabboni Lodge is specifically. This is an informal conversation, not an interview. Most candidates meet with the Ambassador two or three times.
Meeting the brotherhood
If both you and the Ambassador feel the fit is right, you will be introduced to a small group of Rabboni brothers. These meetings give you the chance to get a real sense of the lodge and give our members the chance to get to know you as a person.
Your application
When you are ready to move forward, you will complete a formal membership application. This includes references and a background review, standard practice across Freemasonry.
The vote
Membership in a Masonic lodge is by unanimous vote of the membership. This reflects how seriously we take welcoming a new brother. Every man in that room is committing to your journey.
Your degrees
Upon acceptance, you will begin the degree work that is at the heart of the Masonic experience. This is where the real work and the real rewards begin.
Take the first step
The best thing you can do right now is reach out. There is no obligation, no pressure, and no expectation beyond an honest conversation.
